Hello today im going to be talking about the game design
document also known as a gdd.
A Gdd is important to every game it outlines what the game
is. It’s similar to a business plan it outline what the game is how it works and
what is needed to achieve the final game.
The Gdd is a document consisting of all the parts of the
video game some of the being story, dialogue, graphics, sound, music, special
mechanics, basic mechanics, concept at of the game, the game schedule, what
happens when you lose, how you progress, special items.
All these things would go in to the game design document to
help a person reading the document the kind of game you are making. This document
will also help the game design team communicate on what they are doing and what
others are doing. The game schedule will also give people goals to achieve and
by when they have to achieve them this helps set deadlines for the game.
The game design document is useful for every game to help
