Unity Tutorial 01

Hi today im going to talk about what I learned from my first Unity tutorial

I tried to mess around with Unity before watch a tutorial by a Youtuber called Brackeys so not everything was new to me what I really learned about was the layout and how you can save your layouts when you create a new layout. The tutorial helped me remember a lot about how props are placed in Unity and how the camera movements work it also delved more into placements on x,y,z axis. I also never knew about importing props into Unity in other tutorials they would simply use a cube or sphere and give it physics. I also learned about how to scale objects and the different movement tools in the top right. A together the tutorial was very helpful in making me remember how unity works what all the tabs do and how items are placed. I am very excited to develop my skills in unity more and go on to the next lesson giving movement to the objects and applying real physics.

    Good to see you didn't have trouble with the tutorial and I tried to find videos to help me get the hang of it to but had no luck. I thought the instruction s where extremely helpful.

      Hey Aleks, Great to see that you completed the first tutorial on unity and also great that you found out about Brackeys, really good youtuber and can help you out on unity in any aspect, he has it all. Best of luck in the future with the unity tutorials and making your game.

Introduction too me

Well firstly I always wanted to create a video game it's always been a dream of mine but seemed very complex it's actually one of the main reasons im in the course so now that we are making one as an entire module gets me excited for the semester. PROTOTYPE

I start of by watching several tutorials on player movement just so I refresh my memory on the topic. I wanted to make movement WASD and make the camera third or first person. I began to make this happen the movement didn’t take me a while to make but I was reminded of the game Grim Fandango and then I thought of making player movement based on clicking. I watched several tutorials on how to achieve this. The click movement gain did not take a while to make. I can see in the future pathing of the player being an issue.
