Hello this blog is about me talking about the technology and technological landscape associated with the module.

Some of the technological tools we used last year briefly with little success like twitter I personally do not use twitter but I see how it can be a useful tool for announcements. I hope to learn more about twitter and how it can be used and I see that there is more of an effort put into tits use this year than there was last year.

I am familiar with google docs and I have used it for collage before. It is a useful tool to share info between family and friends. I wish more modules used google docs it would make things much easier to use. I feel this module was by far the easiest to navigate technologically and the other modules seem a bit more confused on what to use and when.

 

I hope to learn more about the graphical design tools as I am interested a lot in game graphics especially the much stylised games with their own unique art style. I feel this module as a whole will be a learning experience with new technologies and I am exited too find out more.

Introduction too me

Well firstly I always wanted to create a video game it's always been a dream of mine but seemed very complex it's actually one of the main reasons im in the course so now that we are making one as an entire module gets me excited for the semester. I'm Not exactly sure what kind of game I would like to create it would have to have a good story since thats what I look for in a lot of video games its either for it to tell a story or being able to create one in the game. PROTOTYPE

I start of by watching several tutorials on player movement just so I refresh my memory on the topic. I wanted to make movement WASD and make the camera third or first person. I began to make this happen the movement didn’t take me a while to make but I was reminded of the game Grim Fandango and then I thought of making player movement based on clicking. I watched several tutorials on how to achieve this. The click movement gain did not take a while to make. I can see in the future pathing of the player being an issue.
