Game Vision Statement

Hello today I'm discussing the pitch for a game I'm
interested in making let’s begin.
I’m interested in making a puzzle
game with a ruin exploration theme. The puzzle game was an interested of mien
to make I was always fascinated with games like portal how they can make you
think differently about puzzles and getting from a to be I intend to make a
game where the user will be challenged and will have to think about what
they’re doing and figure out how to get to a place.
The theme of ruin exploration
interests me. I'm inspired by movies like Indian Jones where he must figure out
his way around traps to stay alive and get the treasure. Something like the
Lego video games where you must push certain things into place or stand on
button or place certain elements in different place. All these features I
intend to be included in the game along with jumping puzzles and even an escape
route when you find the treasure.
On to game mechanics I intend to make
the game simple to play I do not intend for the character to be able to do more
than jump press buttons push and pull certain items pick items up and use these items.
I want the game mechanics to be simple so the player can focus on the puzzles
and commit fully to solving them. I intend to make the puzzles going from
simple to extremely challenging. Like I mentioned before in my inspirations
there will be a broad focus but there will paths that are wrong, and the player
will make wrong decisions. These wrong decisions can either cost the player
some time making him take longer or maybe a game over making the start again or
from ma checkpoint, this will make players be careful of what they do and where
they go. I also pal n on including some secret codes and notes to help the
player on the right path helping them guide them, this will reward players who
are paying attention and those who aren’t will go down the wrong path and
encounter the wrong path. The
escape part of the game will be similar to temple run or subway surfers where
you have to run back to the start and avoid obstacles this will always be at
the end when the ruin is collapsing similar to the way the ruin collapses when

I want the art style to be low poly
but to be able to convey what each item is an example of this art style would
be super-hot published by Super-hot team (https://superhotgame.com/) but with
more colour thrown in or Godus published by 22cans(http://22cans.com/) created
by both have amazing art styles even if one of the games was never finished. I
intend to make the character appear similar to be inspired by Indiana Jones
from the movie but be himself distinct like Laura croft or Nathan Drake from
the Uncharted games exclusive to the PlayStation. I also intend to use a lot of
greys browns and greens to show the ruins and intend to mark important items
with a colour that the player can easily identify, this will help they player
distinguish from important and unimportant items.
The resource I will need is to learn
more about interacting with the environment some guides to puzzles interacting
with items and the environment how inventories will work I know that this game
will be a challenge to make but I also hope that it is as enjoyable to make as
it was to come up with the concept. The market is currently wide open for games
due to the pandemic and a puzzle game can keep players occupied for hours as
they figure out the puzzles. The target audience for a game like this is really
anyone looking for a challenge or that enjoys the theme of exploration I can
see people that are both young and old enjoying this game. This Game will be a
pc exclusive, but I do not see areas cannot not be ported to different consoles
or even a phone with extra time.

ReplyDeleteYour game ideas sound pretty cool.I am also a big fan of those type of games I love when you have to solve problems in the game and find the way out of them in order to proceed to the next level.
The game I am making is a lot different than yours my game is called Ghost runner which is a little endless running game with obstacles and three lives that the player would be provided with.Overall I really like your game idea and I'm sure you will be able to do a good job on creating this game.Best of look with the game and this module.
